1. If you didn’t become a musician, what would be doing right now?

Once I decided to make my career in the film industry, the direction was my first choice and like as well. I tried for opportunities to get into Assistant direction, worked in a couple of friend’s short films as ADs too. Life had a different choice for me, which I now love as well as a Music director. So in case, if I didn’t choose music I could have possibly become a director.

2. What do you feel is the best song you have ever released and why?

So far of all the songs that got released, I would say “Kadhal Kanavu” is my best. I share a very close heart to heart connection with that song right from the moment the thought originated in me. It delivers the angle of how pain could bring broken hearts together and unite them. Thanks to the lyrics of that song and the production was a great learning experience where I directed it as well. So I would say Kadhal Kanavu is close to my heart and my best so far. Nevertheless, there are quite a bunch of magical songs on the line up of release too.

3. which musician would you love to collaborate?

This is a very tricky question and it is very difficult to name one. As a music director and producer I would like to work with legendary talents, new talents as well. Right on top of the mind now, I would name “Sid Sriram”, one of my favorite singers. His voice brings in a new dimension to any song he delivers adding new refreshing flavors to the composition. It would be a great opportunity to work with him.

4. If your fans remember one thing about you, what it would be?

Commitment, dedication, and passion for music. I want to be remembered for this from my fans.

5. What got you into music?

As I mentioned previously my first interest was the direction. During those times, mostly I got inspired from songs to get my ideas for scripts and wrote them. Said that I wanted to try my talent with the roots of my inspiration and which brought me completely into music.

6. if you could date any musician/celebrity what it would be and why?

Haven’t given a thought for a date really.

7. If you had one message to give your fans/followers, what would it be?

I haven’t grown up to the standard of giving the message to my fans. I always love them a lot and very thankful for all their support to my works so far. One thing I can share from my experience is, always learn deep before practicing any skill you want to pursue because learning evolves through the process only if the foundation is laid strong.

8. Share your failure? what happened and why?

One lost film opportunity, better not to be named but it was a very good platform and of course a long-awaited one as well. I requested for recording live music to elevate the standard of the songs, but due to production it wasn’t possible and in the process, it leads to a misunderstanding between the director and me. It’s an opportunity I regret losing but at the same time I feel good that I didn’t compromise on the quality of my songs.

9. What are the five things you can’t live without?

Music, Movies, Family, Friends, and Phone.

10. 10 Ten years from now you will be…

I see myself as a successful music director in Tamil film industry entertaining millions of people making magical music.

11. For our readers who have never heard your music, explain your sound in 5 words:

Are you a fan of songs which connects to your emotions and relatable feelings on first listen, you probably do not want to miss my songs then.

12. You write all of your own music; where do you draw inspiration from when you write songs and what’s your favorite part of the process?

For this question, I would like to mention about my friend more like a brother Vivek Ravichandran, who has written all my songs so far. We connected through my another music friend Guna and started to work on projects together. Despite he moved to Canada, we share the same bonding years long and have been working together on many projects including Kadhal Kanavu, Tag the playboy da and many more. I send him the tune, and he comes back with a version of lyrics which we both collaboratively iterate until both are completely satisfied. The most enjoyable part is, how some portions of every tune was composed and how it shapes after the lyrics are written. It has always been leveling the beauty of the song at the end. One other notable thing is post-production like programming, Synth Arrangements, and Mixing.

13. What do you see as the biggest challenge facing today? Or, if you could ask the music industry to change one thing, what would it be?

Challenge is getting independent Albums into production and release it through streamlined channels exclusively for independent music. Most magical independent music gets disappeared in the crowd of Cine music, so I would pray and wish independent music is noticed and celebrated on a unique platform of its own.

14. Where can fans access your music?

Fans can access my music on my youtube channel

Also on other music platforms like
