Project “Feed The Monkey”

0

Feed The Monkey refers to a fuelling of desire. Usually, this desire is something one doesn’t want to do but is addicted to it because of the way it makes him/her feel about himself/herself.. like getting high.

Scientifically speaking, ‘feeding the monkey’ is feeding the dopamine gland in the brain.

Yes, we Redoact are addicted to “Feeding the Hunger” by fuelling our desire to help others who are in real need.

Feed The Monkey

Redoact continues its dedicated support to the homeless every day. But this time, Redoact takes a step forward to feed monkeys!

Stray animals dependent on us for food have been left unattended, with not many looking out for them. Now, the Lucknow police, with the help of some NGOs, is feeding monkeys and other animals in the city.

The Mayans worshipped a monkey god who was a patron of arts, music, scribes, and sculptors. In Buddhism, the monkey is seen as a messenger of the gods or a physical manifestation of the gods. Lord Buddha has lived many lives as animals, humans, and God before attaining enlightenment. And in one of his experiences, according to the Jataka tales, he appears as a wise monkey king who helped his followers escape from the hunters. They are also the essential part of the Chinese zodiacal signs, and in some parts of the country, this animal is worshipped as the ‘Great Sage equal to Heaven.’

Yes, in this pandemic, humans suffer, but even animals also suffer equally due to COVID-19. Bananas, loaves of bread, and other eatables which monkey’s love, our team feeds monkeys regularly now, have become a part of us.

We are now working to have a hunger-free society across Chennai, feeding all the helpless, homeless, and animals that we can. We all can learn teamwork and dedication from monkeys.

After all, even in these darkest times, we are still privileged enough to ask for help. We trust you kind-hearted people will help us to feed the monkeys. We, humans, can help others, the innocent animals do not have that luxury.

Join hands to help every living creature get its meal of the day.

Our Monkey’s Feeding Kit Consists Of

  1. Chapathi’s

The total cost of feeding 2000 Monkeys per day costs around Rs. 6000.
